Responsibilities & Context

  • Review and adjust the production plan 1 to 2 times based on material availability and delivery conditions, with the Production Manager present during these discussions.
  • Physically follow up on changeovers 2 to 3 times on the shop floor, and check documents at the desk twice daily.
  • Take initiative to address and remedy QA findings.
  • Ensure 98% on-time delivery, with checks conducted by the respective sales, production, and support teams.
  • Gather fabric and material information from the Material Control Department (MCD) to ensure timely supply to the production line.
  • Monitor the production status of running orders to guarantee timely shipment of garments.
  • Communicate and implement company policies to foster good industrial relations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Optimize the utilization of available resources to achieve planned output levels and meet buyer delivery requirements.
  • Focus on training and development to ensure continuous improvement in productivity and maintain quality.
  • Make efforts to minimize absenteeism and worker turnover.
  • Review the daily production variance report and collaborate with the Assistant Production Manager (APM) to take action in reducing unfavorable variances as much as possible.
  • Reset production targets based on actual production performance.
  • Organize weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the APM, technicians, and other department heads to foster team spirit and tackle challenging situations effectively.
  • Contribute to maintaining the daily and weekly inspection schedule, addressing manpower, meetings, and other related issues.
