  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fashion Designer, preferably in the garment industry.
  • Strong understanding of various fabrics, trims, and fashion materials, including their properties, uses, and sourcing.
  • Must stay updated on world fashion trends, especially in Asian, European, and American markets.
  • Ability to analyze upcoming fashion trends and translate insights into innovative design concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools for creating and presenting original designs.
  • Proficiency in email communication, web browsing, and online research for fashion trends and inspirations.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, coordinating with merchandisers, buyers, and production teams.
  • Highly self-driven with a passion for creativity and innovation in fashion design.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Global Fashion Trend Analysis: Research and analyze global fashion trends across Asian, European, and American markets to develop innovative and relevant designs.
  • Fabric & Material Selection: Select and recommend fabrics, trims, and materials based on their properties, usage, and sourcing feasibility, ensuring alignment with design concepts.
  • Design Concept Creation: Create original fashion concepts and design collections that align with market trends and cater to buyer preferences, ensuring the designs resonate with target customers.
  • Technical Sketching & Digital Rendering: Develop detailed technical sketches and digital renderings using design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant software to bring design concepts to life.
  • Trend Forecasting & Market Research: Conduct trend forecasting and ongoing market research to anticipate upcoming styles and consumer preferences, ensuring designs stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with merchandisers, buyers, and production teams to ensure the design's feasibility, production viability, and timely execution.
  • Industry Communication & Research: Maintain effective communication via email and conduct web-based research to stay updated on industry developments, sourcing opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Teamwork & Creativity: Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented environment, participating in creative brainstorming sessions and solving design challenges as a team.
  • Self-Motivation & Innovation: Stay self-motivated, continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance the brand’s design portfolio and contribute fresh ideas.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform any additional tasks assigned by management to support design and production operations.
