At least two years of relevant professional experience.
Practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
Operation and management of power generators and solar power systems in industrial mills.
Electrical supply systems within rice or wheat processing industries.
Electrical, solar, or electric product manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of electrical and solar power systems.
Competency in power and load management.
Proven ability to troubleshoot generators, solar installations, and electrical networks.
Skills in planning and executing power-related projects.
Effective activity coordination and basic reporting/documentation capabilities.
Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and security standards in industrial settings.
High level of professional integrity and ethical conduct.
Commitment to the organisation’s mission and values.
Positive mindset with strong teamwork and leadership qualities.

Working proficiency in English and Bengali.

Electrical Equipment Management (50%)
Oversee all types of electrical equipment, ensuring quality, standards, and proper functionality.
Assist in preparing technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, plans, and documentation for electrical works and solar power, particularly for the rice fortification process.
Provide technical planning and development support for rice fortification projects.
Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to define scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including wiring, fixtures, and systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for all electrical systems.
Ensure all tasks comply with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BNBC, 90Days).
Guide team members on electrical systems, safety protocols, and standards.
Maintain safety compliance and accurate maintenance records.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth system operation.
Lead and supervise electricians and technicians responsible for machinery, power, utilities, internet, and WIFI systems.
Plan electrical machinery schedules, manage inventory, maintain routine checks, and track production outputs to ensure consistent quality.
Manage plant operations for rice fortification, coordinating machine experts, operators, quality controllers, and volunteers.
Provide technical support for electrical and electronics aspects of fortified rice production, packaging, and handling.
Establish and implement operational standards to ensure efficient and high-quality plant output.
Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical-mechanical systems.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs when required.
Conduct training programs on CAD software and technical practices for staff and volunteers.
Develop proposals for electrical projects, including pricing, terms, and timelines.
Planning, Reporting & Documentation (20%)
Implement and manage projects in line with WFP standards, ensuring proper record-keeping and accurate delivery of entitlements.
Prepare individual work plans aligned with the rice fortification project.
Maintain monitoring checklists/logbooks for electrical and machinery efficiency.
Track production-related metrics such as oil usage, hours, and electricity consumption.
Ensure electrical/electronic equipment meets IRB guidelines and organizational standards.
Verify quality of received materials and report any issues, suggesting operational solutions.
Prepare reports for regulatory agencies (WFP, IRB) and internal stakeholders.
Compile monthly summary reports for IRB management prior to external sharing.
Conduct regular performance reviews and address team issues promptly.
Analyze production data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Coordination & Networking (20%)
Develop and execute strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate and network with key stakeholders (e.g., Navy, ARRRC, SMSD, CMO, focal agencies) to ensure effective operations.
Facilitate procurement processes for electrical equipment, spare parts, and materials.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team for timely availability of materials.
Handle complaints, feedback, or operational issues professionally.
Prepare monthly activity plans for line manager approval.
Support procurement activities such as requisitioning and quotation collection.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
Participate in seasonal programs such as winterisation, Ramadan, and Qurbani.
Support complaint response and feedback mechanisms at the field level.
Ensure team safety and promote safeguarding standards, acting as a key source of guidance and expertise.
Promote and implement safeguarding policies within the team.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
