Responsibilities & Context
This position is responsible for ensuring technical precision, production readiness, and quality benchmarks across all woven product lines. The role requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving capabilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet the needs of buyers and production.
- Review and analyze technical packs, specifications, samples, and related artwork to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Evaluate patterns against samples for accuracy and technical viability.
- Conduct pre-production meetings with the cutting team and pilot technicians to ensure a shared understanding of cutting methods, fabric matching criteria, special cut marks, and seam allowances.
- Develop specialized sewing processes using available machinery to optimize production flow and quality outcomes.
- Lead pre-production reviews with SMS technical and quality teams to address final sample feedback and identify potential production challenges.
- Work closely with the sample room to strategically plan SMS production lines for optimal efficiency.
- Perform initial garment assessments with dummy fittings to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
- Oversee key sample evaluations for customer-specific requirements and recommend technical improvements.
- Monitor washing procedures for SMS samples, ensuring they comply with specified guidelines.
- Manage the logistics of sending and receiving washed products with proper documentation.
- Participate in risk analysis meetings at the sample room to proactively identify and mitigate production risks.
- Attend meetings with buying offices to discuss SMS and other sample-related issues.
- Represent the technical team during buyer visits, showcasing expertise and ensuring customer satisfaction.
