Responsibilities & Context

  • Conduct development meetings upon receiving inquiries, gathering relevant stakeholders such as pattern technicians, planning teams, technical teams, and production staff.
  • Analyze design sketches and tech packs to understand and clarify design intentions. Clarify technical specifications, construction and workmanship details, placement, embellishments, washing requirements, product feasibility, and cost considerations, and provide feedback to the customer for further clarifications with appropriate rationale.
  • Collaborate closely with pattern makers to ensure that all garments produced meet the design and quality parameters specified by the customer.
  • Monitor the critical path throughout the entire product development lifecycle while providing necessary guidance.
  • Ensure that customer requirements, specifications, measurements, product quality, styling details, labeling, washing standards, safety considerations, and testing are met.
  • Verify the right fit and draping on mannequins and confirm with senior team members and customers before dispatch.
  • Ensure the accuracy of pre-screening, fit logs, and PLM uploads, and provide these to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Review products with the buying technician and clarify any amendments needed.
  • Attend risk analysis meetings to discuss historical details encountered during the development stage.
  • Perform additional duties to facilitate the smooth operation of the technical department and production plants.
