  • Masters, Master's degree in social sciences, Gender studies, Public health, Social work, Humanities, Law or other related discipline.

  • Experience of supervising field staff required.
  • Sound knowledge in Micro-soft office and English language (Speaking & writing).
  • Strong knowledge of IASC GBV Guidelines and Gender Handbook, Humanitarian Principles, IASC Protection, GBV and CP minimum standards and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of case management principles, procedures, and practices, psychosocial support and life skills programming to promote survivor healing and recovery.
  • Must be comfortable to attend and facilitate internal/external meetings, representing GBV issues.
  • Practical field experience working in camps or spontaneous/informal/makeshift settlements required.
  • Strong organizational skills, deadline-oriented, composed under pressure, adept at prioritizing tasks, coordinating multiple responsibilities, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and without judgment; good diplomatic and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks; proven self-initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • REQUIRED: Fluent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla, Rohingya/Chattogram.
  • Strong belief in and commitment to human rights and gender equality.
  • Willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Constructive and pro-active communication with a wide variety of actors and stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude towards social service and adaptability to organizational vision and values

Responsibilities & Context

  • Supervise daily case management and psycho-social activities, supporting their implementation and the development of related tools and resources.
  • Initiate, oversee and ensure proper use of the referral pathway in the provision of case management services. Lead weekly case review meetings with case workers in WGSS and case conferencing meetings on as needed basis to troubleshoot more complex cases.
  • Advocate for beneficiaries with GBV service providers and organizations to facilitate effective referrals and increased access to services.
  • Maintain and organize beneficiaries' files, ensuring timely completion of required documentation.
  • Review and analyze GBV incident information and client data, making recommendations for service delivery improvements.
  • Recommend, develop and implement capacity building/development plan for program staff based on documented capacity needs assessment.
  • Advocate on behalf of beneficiaries with GBV service providers and other organizations to ensure effective referrals and increased access to services for clients in accordance with their wishes.
  • Collaborate with the Prevention Officer on outreach activities
  • Ensure accurate and organized filling of WGSS documents and M&E trackers, monitoring data collection ethics.
  • Monitor data collection to ensure that staff collect data in safe and ethical ways.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of case management files, following confidentiality principles.
  • Complete weekly and monthly activity reports and develop and maintain work plans to achieve activities with support from SPO.
  • Prepare and share regular reports, including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and sub-sector reports.
  • Coordinate with local and international NGOs, UN agencies, and stakeholders to enhance support for survivors and strengthen GBV SOPs and referral pathways.
  • Ensure maximum visibility of the agency amongst the National/INGO’s and community.
  • Regularly attend in GBV sub-sector and site management/CiC office meeting and communication with CiC office regularly.
  • Uphold zero tolerance for PSEA and child protection concerns. GNB maintain “0” Zero tolerance on PSEA and child protection concern”.
  • Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of GBV, following the GBV case management SOP.
  • Ensure Do No Harm analysis and ensure the principle is upheld in all Case Worker engagements.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with NGOs, UN agencies, government entities, and camp-level protection sector for effective referral pathways and joint activities.
  • Promote awareness of GNB's GBV programs and services, and keep the WGSS team leader informed of operational matters, staffing, resources, and program needs. Provide regular situation update reports on WGSS centers.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, support, mentoring, and guidance to case workers to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with GBV best practices and guiding principles
  • Hold regular planning & debriefing sessions with team members at community based safe spaces.
  • Mentor & support staff professional development and foster a positive team spirit to encourage innovative & quality programming. Ensure direct reports understand and follow GNB, donor Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties required by project authorities.
