Responsibilities & Context

  • Independently arrange all types of fabrics and accessories from local and international sources as required for production, ensuring alignment with customer orders.
  • Communicate with suppliers to handle raw material bookings and delivery schedules.
  • Facilitate order pursuits and prepare detailed development sample costing sheets.
  • Understand and adhere to order fulfillment procedures.
  • Source new products effectively, ensuring the right quality at the right price.
  • Forecast profits and sales, and plan budgets accordingly.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely shipments.
  • Collaborate with planning, commercial, and production teams to guarantee on-time delivery.
  • Develop worksheets based on given designs and ensure their accuracy.
  • Oversee required samples, including pre-production samples (PPS), and ensure timely approval.
  • Organize pre-production meetings (PPS meetings) before bulk production begins.
  • Verify that all paperwork is accurate before passing it to other departments.
  • Assist the line manager in expediting production processes.
  • Maintain all communication related to merchandising, including order files and reports.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge in sourcing, market research, and negotiation skills.
  • Closely monitor processes to ensure timely and quality shipments.
  • Manage all assigned accounts, providing regular updates to management.
  • Take overall responsibility for the assigned tasks and ensure daily progress is communicated to supervisors.
