Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced German Language Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping our clients meet their language needs, particularly for studying and immigrating to German-speaking countries. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging language courses, assess student progress, and provide personalized guidance to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive German language curricula tailored to various proficiency levels (A1 to C2) and specific exam preparations (e.g., Goethe-Zertifikat, TELC).
- Conduct group and one-on-one language classes, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Create and adapt learning materials, and a variety of teaching methods, including exercises, presentations, and multimedia resources.
- Creating a positive learning environment by managing student behaviour, encouraging participation, and promoting respect among students.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Familiarize students with German culture, customs, and everyday life to enhance their integration skills.
- Stay updated on the latest German language teaching methodologies and incorporate them into your lessons.
- Collaborate with the immigration team to understand and address specific language requirements for visa applications.
- Guide language proficiency exams and assist in exam preparation strategies.
- Create engaging video content for language learning purposes, identifying any student with special learning needs and taking appropriate action.
- Excellent command of spoken and written German.
- Must be presentable, innovative, and use creative teaching methodologies.
- Strong presentation and teaching skills.
- Proficiency in developing language teaching and training materials from scratch.
- Familiarity with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Strong intercultural communication skills and ability to work with diverse student populations.
