Operating three IHC Beaver Cutter Suction Dredgers, UPDL collaborates closely with government agencies and private clients to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant dredging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of multiple dredging projects using IHC Beaver 50 dredgers, ensuring production targets, cost control, and uninterrupted operations.

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly dredging schedules, production goals, and equipment deployment.

• Lead and supervise dredger masters, site engineers, survey teams, mechanics, and support crews across all project locations.

• Proactively resolve site-level challenges, including land access issues, river traffic interference, community concerns, and administrative obstacles.

• Maintain continuous coordination with BIWTA, local administration, port authorities, law enforcement, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure operational clearance and compliance.

• Optimize dredger, pipeline, pontoon, and auxiliary equipment usage; plan preventive maintenance and manage breakdowns effectively.

• Monitor and analyze daily production logs, dredging output, fuel consumption, downtime reports, and operational costs; prepare accurate management reports.

• Enforce strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards as per project and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of spare parts, consumables, and logistical support.

• Support management in tender evaluation, project feasibility studies, production estimation, and operational planning for upcoming contracts.

• Implement and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
