  • Academic qualifications may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates.
  • Preference will be given to retired officers from the Military or Police services.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good command of English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using technology-based systems and applications.
  • Sound knowledge of public safety, security management, and risk prevention.
  • Experience in operating and monitoring IP-based CCTV systems and modern electronic access control and security devices.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
  • Lead, train, supervise, and evaluate security personnel to maintain effective security operations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, visitors, and university assets.
  • Identify potential security risks and implement preventive measures to minimize threats and incidents.
  • Coordinate responses to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents, and prepare detailed incident reports.
  • Monitor security operations, surveillance systems, and CCTV footage to ensure continuous campus security.
  • Oversee the maintenance and timely repair of surveillance and security equipment.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance campus security.
  • Work closely with the Proctor's Office and other departments on student safety and security matters.
  • Prepare security plans, risk assessments, budgets, and operational reports as required.
  • Stay updated on emerging security technologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the university management from time to time.
