• Conduct house visits for community motivation and awareness.

• Encourage the appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Implementation of Hygiene Activities – 25%
• Identify key hygiene practices to be addressed and the sectors of the population to engage in promoting safe practices.
• Develop and implement an appropriate communications strategy to promote hygiene practices.
• Facilitate the formation of community structures through which WASH activities can be executed effectively.
• Identify needs for distributing non-food items related to public health, such as containers, soap, hygiene kits, etc., and participate in the selection of items.
• Demonstrate experience and understanding of hygiene promotion and community mobilization in relation to water and sanitation activities.
• Mobilizing the Community for WASH Facilities – 30%
• Conduct hygiene sessions aligned with the project’s objectives and goals.
• Support the identification of feasible sites for WASH facility installations.
• Arrange caretaker training for the proper maintenance and management of WASH facilities.
• Assist in planning and conducting needs assessments, baseline studies, periodic studies, and feedback findings.
• Plan activities aimed at reducing WASH-related risks in the community.
• Ensure hygiene promotion activities are in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles.
• Address cross-cutting concerns such as gender, protection, and the environment in all activities.
• Networking and Coordination with Stakeholders – 15%
• Support organizing inception meetings at various levels to engage stakeholders.
• Ensure the NOC (No Objection Certificate) is obtained after selecting WASH schemes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate and network with different stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Develop cultural sensitivity and gain respect from a wide range of people, ensuring effective communication on hygiene matters.
• Project Reporting and Documentation – 10%
• Prepare and submit weekly activity plans to the line manager.
• Report any issues, constraints, or challenges encountered during the implementation of hygiene activities.
• Additional Responsibilities – 5%
• Possess prior knowledge of health, hygiene, teaching, or community development.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate good listening skills and sensitivity to the needs and priorities of various community sectors.
• Build trust and gain wide acceptance within the community.
• While literacy and numeracy skills are desirable, they may not be essential for this role.
