Responsibilities & Context

  • Monitoring patient responses to medications and making necessary adjustments in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications.
  • Ensuring the proper handling and disposal of hazardous medications.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory and controlled substances.
  • Manage & ensure the proper activities of Dispensers, Data entry operators & Aides. Dispensing of prescribed medicine.
  • Implementing and monitoring hospital policies and procedures related to medication use.
  • Conducting quality improvement activities to enhance patient safety and medication efficacy.
  • Reporting and analyzing medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
  • Monitoring expired drugs.
  • Making medicine indent for admitted patients.
  • Physical dispensing from the medicine shelves Making requisition for medicine from the main store Receiving medicines from the main store.
  • Dispense floor requisition. Delivering medicine to the floor Arranging returned medicines regularly Help to purchase emergency medicine Medicine sale to customers.
  • Input Medicine details to the Software.
  • Operate cash register to process cash or credit sales Receive, store, and Maintain inventory pharmaceutical supplies & medicines, check for outdated medicines, and notify Sr. pharmacist or In charge when inventory levels are low.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, work areas, or shelves.
  • Any other task assigned by the Management.
