Job Context:
Star Tech Ltd., a leading IT retail chain in Bangladesh, is currently hiring for the position of Junior Executive / Senior Executive in the Computer Hardware Engineering and RMA Department. The role involves assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems, as well as efficiently managing product return (RMA) processes.
Job Responsibilities
Hardware Engineering
- Assemble, configure, diagnose, and repair desktops, laptops, all-in-one PCs, and servers based on customer requirements.
- Install and configure operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS, along with server platforms to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Test assembled systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and quality standards.
- Source necessary computer components and accessories from suppliers when required.
- Maintain and update inventory records using company systems.
- Provide technical advice to customers regarding hardware compatibility, upgrades, and solutions.
- Coordinate with sales and support teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
- Handle and process RMA requests accurately within defined timelines.
- Review and validate customer return requests in line with company and OEM warranty policies.
- Act as the primary contact for customers regarding return status, replacements, and refunds.
- Coordinate with internal teams (warehouse, technical, and sales) and suppliers to ensure smooth RMA processing.
- Manage receiving, handling, and tracking of returned or warranty products throughout the RMA lifecycle.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all RMA transactions.
- Monitor pending cases and follow up to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular reports on RMA performance for management review.
- Identify recurring issues related to products or processes and escalate for continuous improvement.
- Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
