Collaborate with the Farm Manager and Hybrid Rice team to prepare the annual budget and action plan, and ensure effective implementation of all planned activities.
Oversee timely seeding operations and production of strong, healthy seedlings.
Support the TA, Hybrid Rice, in selecting appropriate rice seed production plots, providing quality inputs as per requirements, and ensuring their proper utilization.
Ensure transplanting is completed within 7–10 days and maintain high standards of planting quality.
Organize farmer training sessions before transplanting and GA3 application, and conduct random checks on 10% of the plots.
Supervise GA3 application, supplementary pollination, and other ongoing field activities to ensure proper execution.
Promote staff development through regular meetings, coaching, counseling, feedback, and mentoring.
Ensure 100% rouging, and inspect threshing floors to maintain quality standards.
Develop and maintain a schedule for seed harvesting, threshing, and drying activities.
Identify field issues, provide solutions, and report them in writing to the Farm Manager.
Maintain process loss within a maximum of 2% of total seed production.
Check seed samples before weighing to prevent admixture.
Ensure production of seeds with at least 98% genetic purity, free from diseases and black spots.
Keep all records and documents updated according to prescribed registers and formats on time.
Safeguard all team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation in line with organizational safeguarding policies. Serve as a key resource for guidance and compliance on safeguarding matters.
Promote and uphold safeguarding principles among team members, ensuring their integration into all activities.
Follow safeguarding reporting procedures promptly in case of any incidents and encourage others to report as well.
Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
