  • Masters, Master of Science (MSc), in Biochemistry /Microbiology/Molecular Biology from a recognized & reputed University.

  • 5–7 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., CAP, ISO).

Job Purpose:

  • Manage and ensure smooth daily operations of the diagnostic lab.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, compliance with regulatory standards, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee daily lab activities like sample processing, reporting, and equipment maintenance.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operations.

  • Staff Management:

    • Supervise and manage lab staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for all staff.

  • Compliance and Audits:

    • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, CLIA, CAP).
    • Manage preparations and processes for external inspections and certifications.

  • Budget and Resource Management:

    • Oversee lab budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
    • Optimize resource allocation to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.

  • Technology and Innovation:

    • Keep updated on new diagnostic technologies and recommend implementations.
    • Oversee the integration and maintenance of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).

  • Customer and Client Relations:

    • Address client inquiries and concerns to maintain satisfaction and trust.
    • Maintain communication with physicians, clinics, and hospitals.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Generate detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
