Qualifications & Skills
2–4 years of experience in hotel laundry operations or housekeeping, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Familiarity with operating laundry equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Keen attention to detail, particularly in maintaining quality standards.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and generating reports.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capable of lifting and carrying laundry bundles weighing up to 20–25 kg.
Comfortable working in a hot and humid laundry environment.
Oversee and manage daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
Ensure the timely collection, cleaning, and delivery of hotel linens, guest laundry, uniforms, and other fabrics.
Monitor the performance of laundry staff, offer training, and manage shift schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
Inspect completed laundry to meet quality standards and take corrective measures as needed.
Ensure proper maintenance of laundry machines and equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Manage inventory of linens, uniforms, detergents, and other laundry materials, and prepare requisitions as required.
Enforce hygiene, health, and safety protocols in the laundry department.
Address guest complaints and fulfill special laundry requests professionally.
Maintain accurate records of laundry production, damaged items, and associated costs.
Assist management in preparing reports, budgets, and implementing cost-control strategies for the department.
