Demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive under pressure while meeting stakeholder needs.
Proficiency in relevant software such as Xero, PiHR, and QuickBooks.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data.
Skilled in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to senior management.
Proficient in preparing detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive decision-making.
Upholds high ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of financial management and decision-making.
Education:
CA cc (at least certificate level completed)/ACCA part qualified (at least Skill level). Qualified members will be given preference.
At least 5 years in financial reporting and auditing.
Experience from a renowned CA firm is a plus.
Responsibilities & Context
- Developing and managing the company’s budget, forecasting future financial performance, and setting financial goals.
- Preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company’s financial health.
- Predicting cash flow trends to ensure the company can meet its obligations and avoid liquidity issues.
- Managing the company's short-term assets and liabilities to ensure operational efficiency and financial stability.
- Ensuring the company complies with all financial regulations, laws, and standards.
- Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, supervising tax returns filing.
- Developing tax strategies to minimise the company’s tax burden and taking advantage of available tax credits and deductions.
- Identifying areas where costs can be reduced without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Providing regular financial reports and insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform effectively.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure financial objectives align with overall business strategies.
