Additional Requirements


  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Finance or Internal Audit, preferably in an INGO, with 2 years of management and staff supervision.
  • Solution-focused, with strong understanding of client satisfaction and process improvement.
  • Experience in audit and financial management, handling both restricted and unrestricted funding, with knowledge of donor and corporate regulations.
  • Skilled in providing guidance on internal control systems.
  • Effective at analyzing information and providing practical, quality solutions.
  • Proficient in managing financial data and communicating key information for decision-making.
  • Promotes participatory management and encourages team and community involvement in decision-making.
  • Technologically savvy, with experience using a variety of tools (computers, software, internet).
  • Strong facilitation skills, able to lead discussions and diagnose group needs.
  • Actively coaches and supports the professional growth of colleagues and clients.
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborates across teams.
  • Willing to work during disaster situations, both within and outside Plan’s operational areas.

Responsibilities & Context

  • All organizations, especially those with large budgets, complex environments, and diverse stakeholders, are exposed to both internal and external risks.
  • Plan International Bangladesh is no exception to this.
  • The organization promotes a culture where staff and partners collectively manage risks through early identification, assessment, and timely response.
  • The Risk and Assurance Manager will lead a planning process to determine areas of focus for internal audit and review activities.
  • The role involves conducting risk assessments for all operations within Plan International Bangladesh and its partners.
  • The focus of internal audits and reviews will be on activities or processes that present the greatest threats or risks to the organization.
  • The Risk and Assurance Manager is responsible for strengthening financial operations and risk management for projects implemented jointly by Plan and its partners.
  • This is achieved through a collaborative approach that reflects an equal partnership and shared values between Plan and its partners.
  • The Risk and Assurance Manager will support Plan International Bangladesh by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes.
  • The role involves managing and conducting internal audits and reviews at various locations across the country, both within Plan and its partner organizations.
  • The Risk and Assurance Manager will provide investigative and preventative support to address issues such as fraud, bribery, corruption, violations of the Code of Conduct, false representation, and other forms of wrongdoing.
  • The position will assist in resolving these issues both within Plan International Bangladesh and among its partners.
