Responsibilities & Context

Accounts Preparation:

  • Financial Statements
  • Management Statements
  • Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet
  • Statement of Changes in Equity
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Depreciation Schedule and all notes to the accounts
  • Calculation of all schedules (e.g., Export, Import) and inventory checks

Banking & Reconciliation:

  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements for export, import, BTB, CD accounts, Overdraft/CC accounts, and other working capital loan accounts.
  • Draft and handle L/C opening, amendments, payments, and goods release from the port.
  • Correspond with banks for loan approvals, disbursements, and adjustments as needed.

Reporting & Audit:

  • Prepare various reports as required by management, banks, and government authorities.
  • Monitor and verify daily banking and cash transactions, ensuring timely posting in accounting software.
  • Supervise external auditors for private and public sector audits.
  • Conduct internal audits as needed.

Account & Ledger Maintenance:

  • Maintain all books of accounts and banking-related transactions.
  • Keep organized banking records (bank-wise) and ensure timely posting in the accounts for easy access by management.
  • Prepare and post cash payments/receipts, bank payments/receipts, contra entries, and journal vouchers in software.
  • Maintain sales, customer, expense, and purchase ledgers in the accounting software.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform any additional tasks as required by management.
