  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), in Accounting
  • Bachelor/Honors, in Accounting

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably within a stock brokerage house, bank, or financial institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in a stock brokerage or capital market environment is highly desirable.
  • Candidates holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance will be given preference.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or partial completion of these certifications will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong academic background with in-depth knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, taxation, and corporate finance.
  • Candidates with training or coursework related to capital market operations or financial regulations will be prioritized.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with stock market operations, trading settlement procedures, and capital market regulations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software along with MS Excel, Word, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional ethics.
  • Practical knowledge of QuickBooks will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations of the brokerage firm.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and periodic summaries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage client fund accounts, trading settlements, and reconciliation of brokerage transactions.
  • Perform bank and ledger reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of stock market authorities and financial regulators.
  • Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and regulatory bodies within stipulated deadlines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and organized filing of financial records and supporting documents.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support management in strategic decision-making.
