• Ensure adherence to statutory and legal requirements as per BEPZA and local government laws.
• Establish and maintain compliance standards, regularly assess gaps, and address individual buyer compliance requirements.
• Develop and update compliance manuals for factories, ensuring implementation in line with laws, customer requirements, and company standards.
• Lead and monitor compliance across the factory, covering legal permits, child labor, forced labor, harassment, working hours, wages, health & safety, maternity, environment, and security. Take corrective actions as needed.
• Regularly update compliance reports and buyer portals to meet requirements.
• Conduct routine compliance audits, provide recommendations, ensure follow-ups, and share reports with unit heads and directors.
• Provide compliance training (e.g., COC, PPE, Fire Safety, First Aid, Health Safety, and building maintenance) to relevant personnel and workforce.
• Continuously strive for improvement, aligning with world-class apparel industry compliance practices.
• Prepare and update assessments of labor law requirements from a compliance perspective.
• Promote environmental sustainability through required activities and work procedures.
• Drive welfare teams to ensure smooth operations and maintain effective relationships with all staff.
• Implement buyer-specific Codes of Conduct and monitor adherence.
• Conduct internal audits, prepare CAP reports, follow up on audit findings, and improve factory conditions based on buyer instructions.
• Handle buyer representatives and auditors during factory visits, ensuring security and safety protocols.
• Fulfill ISO, 5S, and other global standards, including Higgs, SCAN, SBTI, Nirapon, RSC, SLCP, WRAP, BSCI, GTW, CFW, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, RCS, OCS, and Better Works.
• Manage correspondence, CAPs, memos, and buyer/auditor communications.
• Handle disciplinary and grievance issues, ensuring resolution per labor laws.
• Organize and deliver regular training on fire safety, chemical safety, personal protective equipment, and health & safety.
• Ensure compliance with labor standards, human rights, and social aspects of working conditions.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, monitoring strict adherence to policies and labor laws.
• Maintain all legal licenses and documents as per factory regulations.
• Promote environmental regulations, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
• Bridge management-employee relations, addressing grievances and issues professionally.
• Manage daily HR and compliance operations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Demonstrate expertise in labor law, ILO standards, and EPZ regulations.
• Proficient in Bangla typing and preparing official formats.
