• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement cutting plans in alignment with production schedules. Coordinate with the production and planning departments to ensure deadlines are met and workload distribution is effectively managed.
• Quality Control: Ensure cutting quality adheres to industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and take corrective actions as required to maintain high standards.
• Material Management: Oversee the handling of materials, ensuring efficient fabric allocation and utilization to minimize waste. Maintain accurate inventory records and collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams for timely stock replenishment.
• Team Management: Supervise and manage the cutting team, including conducting training, evaluating performance, and scheduling shifts. Foster a safe and productive work environment, promoting team cohesion and morale.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices and optimize cutting techniques to boost overall production output.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of cutting machines. Work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot any equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance within the cutting section. Conduct regular safety training for team members to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily and weekly reports on cutting performance, material wastage, and team productivity. Keep accurate records of cutting metrics, machine maintenance, and team attendance.
