Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop Cutting Strategies: Create and implement cutting strategies and procedures to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Daily Schedule Management: Plan and manage the daily cutting schedule to ensure timely delivery of cut fabrics to the production lines.
  • Collaboration with Production Planning: Work closely with the production planning team to assess fabric requirements and prioritize cutting orders based on production deadlines.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources such as manpower and cutting equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and guide the cutting team, providing direction, training, and support to ensure consistent performance and skill development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and monitor cutting equipment and tools, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are performed as needed.
  • Quality Control Collaboration: Partner with the quality control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement in the cutting process.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize cutting techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Data Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyze production data, generating reports on cutting productivity, material utilization, and efficiency for management review.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to cutting processes.
  • Reporting: Report daily (or as required) to the Director of Operations regarding progress, challenges, and performance.
  • Other Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
