  • Must have the ability to supervise and inspire team of workers & staffs;
  • Good Communication skills in both English and Bengali;
  • Good knowledge & skills in computing.
  • Strong technical knowledge in cutting and quality system.
  • Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame
  • Good in planning and analytical skills
  • Must have good cutting knowledge

Responsibilities & Context

  • Cutting Operation & SOP Maintenance:
  • Strictly adhere to and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for cutting to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Develop and lead the cutting team to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to all operational standards.
  • Compliance & Fabric Management:
  • Maintain 100% compliance with all cutting operations and departmental requirements.
  • Receive fabrics, ribbing, and other materials from the store according to consumption needs.
  • Segregate fabrics by quality and ensure they are appropriately categorized.
  • Quality Control & Approval:
  • Cross-check the QC report with the physical receipt of materials to ensure accuracy.
  • Obtain QC approval for sample, size, and bulk cuts before proceeding with production.
  • Cutting Plan & Production Coordination:
  • Create cutting plans based on the production schedule to ensure timely and accurate fabric usage.
  • Ensure fabric relaxation according to the specific fabric type before cutting.
  • Perform fabric lay inspection, marking, and cutting in accordance with established procedures.
  • Fabric Consumption & Approval:
  • Ensure fabric consumption aligns with the production plan. If consumption exceeds the plan, seek approval from the superior.
  • Ensure all fabric pieces are numbered correctly and accurately.
  • Bundling & Line Input:
  • Bundle cut panels according to order specifications and maintain proper organization for efficiency.
  • Ensure that line input follows the order, plan, and cutting schedule, ensuring no delays in production.
  • Team Coordination & Communication:
  • Liaise regularly with the Merchandiser, Production Manager (PM), Quality Manager, Factory Head, and other relevant departments for day-to-day operations and to address any concerns.
