  • Strong knowledge of distribution networks, channel management, and retail operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, client management skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Familiarity with IT products and industry trends.
  • Ability to foster relationships and drive business growth.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities & Context

Whiteshell Limited is seeking a dynamic Manager of Distribution & Retail Sales to lead and execute strategies aimed at driving growth across both dealer and retail sales channels. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales of IT hardware products through distribution networks and retail markets, ensuring effective product placement and market expansion. Key duties include developing sales strategies, strengthening distribution networks, and collaborating with the sales team to increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive distribution and retail sales strategies to drive revenue growth across key product categories.
  • Create and manage sales forecasts, set performance targets, and prepare sales plans on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Build, manage, and expand the company’s distribution network to ensure broad market coverage.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, resellers, and channel partners to ensure product availability.
  • Monitor and evaluate distribution performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize results.
  • Develop relationships with retail chains and independent retailers to improve product placement and drive promotional activities.
  • Oversee in-store marketing initiatives, including product displays, promotions, and campaigns to boost sales.
  • Ensure retail outlets are well-stocked and provide training to retail staff on product features and benefits.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities in both distribution and retail channels.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, refining sales strategies accordingly.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the company’s product lines, including laptops, desktop PCs, printers, projectors, UPS units, IFPs, video walls, kiosks, digital signage, and display solutions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies, leveraging insights to drive sales growth.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
  • Quickly and efficiently resolve any issues related to product delivery, quality, or customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements, sales contracts, and pricing terms with partners.
  • Track sales metrics, monitor performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, offering training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate documentation of sales activities.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, including strategic recommendations.
  • Identify and generate new leads for dealers and retailers, onboard new sales areas, and meet both individual and team sales targets.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management to meet overall sales objectives.
