Additional Requirements

The position is open to male candidates only.
Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant HSE experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
Prior experience handling HSE operations for multinational companies, industrial projects, or large-scale construction projects.
Practical understanding of civil construction, steel erection, and various high-risk work activities.
Strong knowledge of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessment, method statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
Familiarity with applicable Bangladesh labor laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other internationally recognized safety certifications will be considered an advantage.
Strong capabilities in incident investigation, emergency response, and conducting safety audits.
Excellent leadership, communication, training, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and Bangla.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain effective professional coordination with clients, project teams, contractors, and workers.
Must possess the confidence and authority to stop unsafe activities whenever necessary to protect people, property, or the environment.

Responsibilities & Context

Lead HSE activities for an MNC industrial project, ensuring effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and a safe working environment throughout project execution.
Implement, monitor, and maintain company and client-specific HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Conduct routine site inspections, identify workplace hazards, and perform comprehensive risk assessments.
Prepare, review, and maintain Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, method statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation.
Closely monitor high-risk operations such as lifting, steel erection, working at height, hot work, electrical activities, excavation, and confined-space entry.
Ensure appropriate PPE usage and maintain proper housekeeping, barricading, warning signage, and safe site access.
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with required safety standards and procedures.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and regular HSE training for project personnel.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Ensure adequate fire safety arrangements, emergency response procedures, preparedness, and regular emergency drills.
Carry out safety audits and maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports.
Ensure compliance with client requirements as well as relevant occupational health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
Immediately stop any unsafe activity that may pose a significant risk to workers, property, or the environment.
