Responsibilities & Context

  • Overseeing all activities within the Cutting Department, addressing technical and administrative challenges, coordinating with related sections (e.g., fabric inspection, CAD, sewing) and management, and guiding the team to resolve cutting process issues effectively.
  • Ensuring the receipt of lay sheets and markers from CAD and fabric from the store according to the daily cutting plan.
  • Managing fabric laying, relaxing, cutting, and bundling operations to align with planned capacity and schedules.
  • Ensuring that cutting operations prioritize line requirements and backline/sub-store needs.
  • Collaborating with relevant departments to identify and implement optimal solutions for operational and technical challenges.
  • Monitoring and minimizing material over-consumption in the Cutting Department to control costs.
  • Scheduling sectional output efficiently and balancing manpower to meet production demands.
  • Enhancing the technical skills of team members and improving operational methods to boost productivity.
  • Participating in pre-production meetings to address technical and quality concerns and educating the team on preventive measures.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring cleanliness within the department, addressing any behaviors that may pose risks.
  • Identifying environmental impacts of departmental processes and ensuring alignment with organizational environmental objectives.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management as necessary.
