Responsibilities & Context

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager in HR & Compliance within the Apparel Industry.
  • Formulate and execute HR & Compliance strategies aligned with the Business Plan, Labor Regulations, Client Codes of Conduct (COC), industry standards, and more.
  • Prepare and revise policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to HR & Compliance.
  • Oversee factory recruitment processes, onboarding, promotions, transfers, compensation & benefits, attendance management, leave policies, employee training, disciplinary actions, and handling employee relations and grievances.
  • Lead the compliance team in addressing corrective action plans (CAPs) from various audits, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate and manage all compliance/security audits such as WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, Better Work, C-TPAT/SCAN, GMP, FCCA, Nirapon, Higg, GOTS, OCS, RCS, and others.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and licenses for the factory.
  • Supervise salary and wage administration processes.
  • Prepare CAPs in response to first-party and third-party audits.
  • Monitor and supervise internal audits related to Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Security, Fire Safety, and worker grievance issues based on in-house compliance checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, client-specific COCs, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that registers, compliance policies, and procedures meet Bangladesh Labor Law and client specifications.
  • Review data, records, formats, statements, files, and registers from all departments to ensure they are properly prepared, issued, updated, and maintained in line with compliance requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions (induction, motivation, work-related, security, EHS) for workers and mid-level management.
  • Ensure adherence to social compliance standards in the factory.
  • Follow management instructions and complete any tasks assigned.
  • Track and monitor floor activities using feedback from relevant personnel, offering guidance for timely resolution when needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by top management.
