• Applications are invited to apply for the position of Manager (Merchandising) at a renowned group of companies specializing in 100% export-oriented garment manufacturing and export (Knit) business.
• The role includes conducting industrial process audits for 100% export-oriented ready-made knit garment manufacturing industries. Key responsibilities include order-wise AOP production accountability, managing rejection rates, overseeing cutting panel allowances, cutting waste accountability, monitoring input-output for printing and embroidery processes, ensuring sewing input-output accountability, tracking sewing earned CM, garment finishing input-output accountability, and managing leftover materials, wastage, reusable materials, as well as store materials receipt, issue, stock balance, and physical inventory.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong quantitative analysis skills, the ability to handle buyer correspondence, creative work, and manage all aspects of an order—from new development to shipment.
• Responsibilities also include overseeing the entire order execution process from inquiry to shipment, ensuring timely delivery, and providing leadership in team building and management. Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports should be submitted to management, outlining ongoing activities and issues.
• Skills required include costing, production planning, and technical knowledge. The candidate must have extensive experience in merchandising, preparing time and action plans, sample management, and production monitoring within a factory setting.
• Collaboration with production and quality teams is essential to maintain efficiency and compliance with buyer-specified quality control standards. The candidate will work closely with QA teams to conduct in-line and final inspections, implement corrective measures for quality-related issues, and ensure that production meets all specifications.
• Key duties include detailed costing and profitability analysis for knit orders, including materials, labor, and overhead costs. The candidate will ensure profitability by optimizing cost structures without compromising on quality and will develop strategies for cost reduction while maintaining product standards. Monitoring profit margins, cost efficiency, and budgeting will be essential for optimizing business profitability.
• The Manager (Merchandising) will lead and motivate a team of merchandisers, marketing executives, and sourcing professionals, ensuring high performance and team success.
