  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Textile Engineering from any reputed institution.

Additional Requirements


  • Working in a Managerial position for at least 2 years.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel abroad to meet with buyers for Merchandising & Marketing.
  • Communication skills in both English and Bengali in verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to cope with pressure, flexible and adaptable.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and proactive.
  • Well conversant with IT equipment.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Achieve Marketing & Merchandising Objectives: Drive the success of the Marketing & Merchandising department by meeting set goals and targets.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities with potential buyers to expand our market reach.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of marketing and merchandising professionals, fostering collaboration and achieving departmental objectives.
  • Costing & Pricing Management: Supervise the costing and pricing of products, negotiating with buyers to finalize prices that are mutually acceptable.
  • Production Oversight: Ensure accurate updates on production status, sampling, and lab dips are communicated to buyers by the merchandising team.
  • Approval & Delivery Monitoring: Track the status of approvals, pre-production, deliveries, and shipments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Execution of Orders: Ensure orders are executed as per the planned 'Time and Action Plan,' guaranteeing on-time shipment with the correct quality and quantity.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform any additional tasks assigned by top management to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Sweater and Woven Garments merchandising and marketing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of garment production processes and industry standards.
