  • At least 5 years of experience in reproductive health, maternity hospitals/clinics, and monitoring the clinical quality of maternity, family planning, or SAPAC services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Well-organized, proactive, and open to taking on new challenges.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee clinical governance for obstetric services, supporting the General Manager – Clinical Quality Assurance with relevant quality assurance measures, accountability, and governance tools.
  • Maintain thorough and current knowledge of Government of Bangladesh (GoB), MSB, and MSI global standards, protocols, systems, and guidelines related to clinical services, especially obstetrics and newborn care.
  • Ensure all team members are well-informed and competent in MSB/MSI and GoB clinical protocols by conducting competency assessments of service providers.
  • Coordinate and manage activities required for accreditation, licensing, and certification processes.
  • Perform regular and surprise monitoring visits, observe service delivery, and conduct clinical audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead timely investigations of clinical incidents, report findings to Head Office, analyze repeated issues, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring follow-up.
  • Support clinic teams in meeting MSI benchmarks for incident reporting.
  • Build, motivate, and sustain effective clinical teams with qualified, well-trained, and multi-skilled providers deployed according to their competence.
  • Monitor proper use of partographs during labor progression and provide necessary training to clinic staff.
  • Monitor clinical incidents closely and develop SMART action plans based on investigations.
  • Actively participate in the Medical Advisory Team, contribute relevant agenda items, and work continuously to improve service quality.
