Education

• Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design, or a related field.

Additional Requirements

• Conduct Handover Meetings: Organize handover meetings with the garment technology team, Design team, CAD team, and relevant Business Unit merchandising teams to ensure seamless transition of responsibilities.
• Review Tech Packs and Specifications: Thoroughly review tech packs and measurement specification sheets provided by customers, coordinating with relevant business units and cross-functional teams to ensure clarity and completeness.
• Provide Expertise for Improvement: Offer expertise to enhance tech packs and design formats, ensuring a better-assembled product. Work closely with the Design team to ensure that initial samples meet both fit and aesthetic requirements.
• Establish Timelines: Analyze order details, workforce availability, and material supplies to set effective timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments during handover meetings to identify potential issues and mitigate them proactively.
• Ensure Material Availability: Work with the team to ensure that fabrics, threads, and trimmings are available according to the style for producing the sample garment order.
• Sourcing Materials: Obtain necessary information about fabrics and accessories not provided by the customer and source them from the market.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate overview of raw material inventory and sourcing, ensuring all required materials are available for sampling.
• Monitor CAD Team’s Work: Oversee the CAD team to ensure that the measurement specification sheet is followed precisely.
• Master Pattern Library Management: Collaborate with the CAD team to maintain and update the master pattern library for all samples
• Optimize Pattern Layout: Work with the CAD team to optimize the layout of pattern pieces, minimizing material waste, and ensuring accurate grading for precise measurements.
• Shae Achievement: Collaborate closely with the CAD team to ensure the garment shape is achieved as per design specifications.
• Sampling Team Coordination: Plan and assign tasks to the Sampling team, ensuring smooth execution from cutting to finished assembled garments.
• Set Production Targets: Set production targets for each sample operator at every stage of the sampling process.
• Problem Solving: Identify and implement the most suitable processes to address manufacturing challenges effectively.
• Resource Allocation: Ensure that all necessary resources are available and allocated appropriately throughout the sampling process.
• Establish Standards: Establish and enforce standards for fit and construction from concept development through to bulk production.
• Safety Practices: Ensure safety practices are followed during cutting, sewing, and pressing processes, particularly when using heavy machinery.
• Maximize Production Efficiency: Strive for maximum utilization of production capacity and focus on waste reduction.
• Supervise Discipline on the Sampling Floor: Implement and enforce discipline on the sampling floor to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
• Ensure Quality Compliance: Ensure that all products meet ZXY’s quality standards, from the sampling stage to final production.
