Education


  • Bachelor/Honors, The candidate should have B.Sc/ M.Sc in Agricultural Engineering (MBA in Marketing will be given preference)

  • Experience in agro-based firms, including agro-processing, seed, or GM sectors.
  • Education and experience may be relaxed for potential candidates.
  • Preference for candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in agri-machinery, agricultural marketing, or related fields.
  • Solution-oriented, smart, approachable, and capable of working with diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of import regulations, compliance processes, product development, evaluation, and advancement activities.
  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making and people management.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in training and sharing technical knowledge with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Conduct market research to assess agri-machinery demand, trends, and farmer needs in Bangladesh.
  • Assist in developing or customizing products to suit local agricultural needs and recommend suitable machinery.
  • Source high-quality agri-machinery from reliable suppliers, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Develop markets by establishing relationships with distribution channels and partners.
  • Organize training sessions and create educational materials to enhance product awareness and usage.
  • Stay updated on import regulations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Plan and execute product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Optimize supply and value chains, ensuring smooth product availability with logistics collaboration.
  • Manage the import process and maintain relationships with government agencies, suppliers, and partners.
  • Ensure team safety, promote safeguarding policies, and address reportable incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the authority.
