Responsibilities & Context
AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd (AKDL), a 100% export-oriented knit composite factory and a sister concern of AKH Group, located in Hemayetpur, Savar, is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Manager/Sr. Manager for its Garments Division. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all garments produced meet the quality standards required by buyers.
- Oversee the quality assurance of knit garment products throughout every stage of production, from cutting to packing.
- Identify faults in the garment production process, implement immediate corrective actions, and establish quality norms to minimize garment rejections.
- Develop and execute a quality assurance plan to ensure all garments meet buyer requirements with 100% accuracy.
- Ensure quality control from cutting through to finishing, overseeing successful inspections at various production stages to guarantee timely shipments.
- Supervise and guide the quality team to achieve established quality targets.
- Ensure that quality personnel are familiar with specific buyer requirements and provide training to maintain these standards throughout production.
- Manage quality assurance processes efficiently, optimizing the use of time, manpower, and resources while delivering top-quality garments.
- Conduct floor audits, manage first article and first piece inspections, and prepare corresponding reports.
- Organize and promote training related to product quality and reliability.
- Review the first output against samples and monitor garment measurements, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate any quality system deviations to the relevant authorities and recommend corrective actions.
- Finalize critical operations and key quality points, providing clear instructions to quality inspectors.
- Discuss inline inspection findings with production, industrial engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Handle any other tasks assigned by top management.
