  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, sound judgment, and a high level of alertness and responsibility.

  • Capable of performing effectively in high-pressure and demanding operational environments.

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.

NEPCS employs approximately 500 professionals across Bangladesh, China, and the Philippines, including more than 200 highly qualified and experienced engineers dedicated to power plant O&M activities. The company currently serves as the O&M contractor for Summit Meghnaghat Power Company Limited.

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Strictly comply with all plant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, actively promoting a zero-injury work environment.

  • Monitor plant operations and performance during assigned shifts, promptly implementing corrective actions to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

  • Execute smooth plant start-ups and safe shutdowns without causing delays or equipment damage.

  • Operate and control plant systems through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other process control interfaces.

  • Prepare requisitions for operational consumables and chemicals; safely handle, prepare, and apply chemicals across plant systems; and perform minor routine maintenance tasks such as strainer and filter cleaning, analyzer consumable replacement, and laboratory equipment calibration.

  • Conduct regular field rounds and record operational data as outlined in daily log sheets.

  • Maintain accurate plant operation records and prepare, or assist in preparing, operational and performance reports.

  • Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, and Confined Space Entry procedures.

  • Support the planning and coordination of daily and scheduled maintenance activities, as well as operational improvements and system modifications.

  • Perform monthly audits of Lockout/Tagout documentation, Hot Work permits, and Confined Space Entry permits.

  • Raise and manage work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Coordinate plant operations with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Load Dispatch Centre (LDC) and Titas Gas RMS.

  • Identify equipment issues and communicate findings clearly to the maintenance team through verbal discussions and detailed CMMS work orders.

  • Participate in plant training, certification, and qualification programs.

  • Develop in-depth expertise across plant systems, create and maintain operational procedures, and act as a technical resource for colleagues.

  • Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of plant areas and equipment.

  • Participate in corporate social responsibility initiatives and cross-functional task forces as assigned.

  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Operations General Manager or Deputy General Manager (DGM).

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot operational, maintenance, and environmental issues, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant performance.

  • Collaborate closely with operations personnel to achieve safe, reliable, and optimal plant operations.

  • Develop and adhere to best-practice operating procedures to maximize safety, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in the operation of gas turbines, steam turbines, water treatment systems, high-pressure boilers, cooling water systems, and electrical equipment.

  • Assist in updating drawings and technical documentation as modifications are implemented.

  • Provide leadership and coordination during critical maintenance activities, repairs, or special projects.

  • Maintain positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders.

  • Support emergency response and recovery efforts during unexpected plant incidents.

  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working within the plant premises.

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HSE standards.

  • Propose initiatives for energy efficiency, plant optimization, and system improvements.

  • Actively contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

  • Carry out any additional instructions or responsibilities assigned by management.
