Medical Assistant, Skin Therapist

Role Overview

The Medical Assistant / Skin Therapist will be responsible for providing professional face and body skincare treatments using advanced technologies and skincare products. The role involves assessing clients’ skin concerns, recommending suitable treatments, operating skincare equipment safely, and ensuring a high standard of client care and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Perform a range of professional face and body skincare treatments, including acne and acne-scar care, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation and spot treatment, pore care, skin polishing, hair removal, and face/body contouring.

✔ Provide treatments focused on wrinkles, fine lines, anti-aging, skin texture, and overall skin rejuvenation.

✔ Perform dead-cell removal, exfoliation, and skin-polishing treatments according to client needs and approved procedures.

✔ Operate advanced skincare equipment such as microdermabrasion and light-based devices safely and effectively, following established protocols.

✔ Conduct client consultations to understand skin concerns, treatment history, expectations, and desired results.

✔ Assess clients’ skin conditions and recommend appropriate treatments and skincare routines within the scope of the role.

✔ Provide clear pre-treatment and post-treatment guidance, including precautions, aftercare, and recommended skincare practices.

✔ Recommend suitable skincare products and aftercare routines based on individual client needs.

✔ Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, safety, and equipment-handling standards throughout all treatments.

✔ Maintain accurate client records, treatment history, consultation notes, and product/treatment details.

✔ Monitor clients during treatments and respond appropriately to any discomfort, sensitivity, or adverse reactions, escalating concerns to the appropriate medical professional when necessary.

✔ Deliver professional, courteous, and personalized customer service while building trust and maintaining long-term client relationships.

✔ Ensure the treatment room, equipment, and skincare tools are clean, organized, and ready for use.
