Responsibilities & Context

  • Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
  • Perform physical exams on patients, assessing for signs of disease, trauma, or other medical conditions.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans to address patients' health concerns.
  • Treatment and Prescription:
  • Prescribe medications for ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) and Head-Neck patients based on their specific diagnoses.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and guide them on how to manage their health effectively in a professional manner.
  • Medical Record Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of patient visits, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress to ensure continuity of care.
  • Regularly update patient medical records to track changes in their health status and treatment response.
  • Acute and Chronic Care:
  • Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illnesses, writing prescriptions and ordering necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to refine treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Assist both internal and external surgical teams in providing comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Compliance and Ethical Practice:
  • Adhere to the ethics, standards of practice, and regulations set by the ENT Foundation Hospital, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Follow all relevant laws and regulations governing the practice of medicine to ensure legal and professional compliance.
