Responsibilities & Context

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and diseases.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, modifying them as needed based on patient progress.
  • Provide immediate care in emergency situations, stabilizing patients for further treatment or transfer.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Compliance & Coordination:
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, medical ethics, and legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
  • Work closely with nurses, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated treatment approaches.
  • Patient Education & Consultation:
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures.
  • Provide consultations and second opinions to fellow medical staff when required.
  • Quality Assurance & Professional Development:
  • Engage in quality assurance activities and contribute to healthcare improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and train junior medical staff, including residents and interns.
  • Apply evidence-based medical practices to uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Academic & Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Attend to OPD, indoor patients, wards, and cabin visits as per hospital requirements.
  • Participate in academic activities and continuous medical education.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the competent authority as needed.
