• Specimen Collection & Analysis
• Organize and prepare specimen samples for testing.
• Collect, label, store, and transport specimens as per SOPs.
• Examine specimen samples for abnormalities using microscopic techniques and other lab procedures.
• Perform routine and urgent tests efficiently.
• Blood Analysis & Transfusion Preparation
• Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying different cell types.
• Conduct blood group, type, and compatibility tests to prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions.
• Interpret test results and report findings accurately.
• Laboratory Maintenance & Inventory Management
• Maintain laboratory inventory, ensuring proper stock of reagents, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations, including infection control and waste disposal procedures.
• Reporting & Data Management
• Prepare detailed reports of laboratory findings, summarizing collected and analyzed data.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen testing and results.
• Deliver test reports to doctors and medical staff within the required time frame.
• Ensure proper storage and backup of laboratory data.
• Coordination & Compliance
• Collaborate with doctors, medical staff, and support teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.
• Follow laboratory best practices, SOPs, and industry regulations for specimen testing and safety.
• Adhere to infection prevention, hygiene, and health safety protocols.
