• Order Management: Manage the entire merchandising process from order confirmation to shipment.
• Coordinate with buyers and production teams to ensure orders are executed accurately and on time.
• Monitor order status and update all stakeholders regularly.
• Product Development: Work closely with the design and development teams to create samples as per buyer requirements.
• Review and approve samples, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Provide input on product improvements and innovation to meet market trends.
• Supplier Coordination: Liaise with fabric and accessory suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Ensure clear and effective communication with clients regarding order status, changes, and delivery schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards.
• Address any quality issues with urgency and coordinate corrective actions with the production team.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all merchandising activities, including order details, correspondence, and quality reports.
• Prepare regular reports on order status, production schedules, and inventory levels for management review.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Provide guidance and support to junior merchandisers and other team members.
• Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues in the production process and develop solutions to prevent delays or quality issues.
• Take initiative to improve processes and reduce lead times.
• Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends and buyer preferences to anticipate changes in demand.
