Background

• Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) will implement the sub-project ‘Promoting Sustainable Growth in Poultry Sub-sector through RECEP Practices’ under the ‘Sustainable Microenterprise and Resilient Transformation (SMART)’ project.
• The project aims to foster resource-efficient and resilient growth in microenterprises (MEs) within the poultry sector, with joint financing from the World Bank, PKSF, and FIVDB.

Sub-project Objectives

• Promote resource-efficient, cleaner production and good farming practices.
• Implement climate-resilient technologies.
• Encourage circular economy practices.
• Increase the technical knowledge and capacity of MEs.

Sub-project Working Areas

• The project will be carried out in Shantiganj, Derai, and Biwhwambarpur Upazilas of Sunamganj district.

Duration

• The initial term is one year, with the possibility of extension until June 30, 2028, depending on performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring, Data Collection, and Record Keeping:

  • Ensure smooth completion of the baseline study and final evaluation at the sub-project level.
  • Regularly visit fields to monitor project activities.
  • Collect real-time field data, ensuring adherence to consistent data collection standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and support team members during RECP screening and profiling.
  • Archive data to meet periodic reporting needs.

• Data Verification, Entry, and Cleaning:

  • Cross-check and verify the authenticity and validity of collected data with other records and re-visit participants.
  • Use mobile/tab applications for real-time data collection.
  • Enter verified data into relevant databases or software systems.
  • Perform data cleaning to eliminate errors or inconsistencies.
  • Ensure data integrity during the entry process.

• MIS Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain organized records of all data and activities.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly progress reports.
  • Document challenges and changes in data management procedures.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation in line with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Capture lessons, best practices, and case stories.
  • Support the creation of promotional materials like video documentaries, brochures, posters, etc.

• Other Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with PKSF on monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and documentation.
  • Make regular field visits as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager and senior management of FIVDB.
