Education


  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Engineering or any discipline from a recognized institution

Experience


  • 1 Year

Additional Requirements


  • OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO, Safety related national/international courses. Trade course in Electrical/Electronic technology is preferable 
  • Minimum 01 years’ experience in occupational safety, fire safety related work/operations with supervisory skills are required

Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure monitoring and regular inspection of site’s fire detection & protection system, actively running at all Aarong’s entities.      
  • Assure proper Fire Detection & Protection system installation projects with relevant drawings & budget as required.      
  • Guarantee quality monitoring and optimize safety team rosters for productivity.        
  • Confirm timely maintenance of firefighting equipment and maintain accurate records of inspections.         
  • Coordinate with concerned departments/floor managers/Aarong outlets/Emergency Response Team/Fire Safety & Civil Defence/RAJUK etc. to ensure workplace safety.          
  • Enhance efficiency, develop team skills aligned with BRAC's values, and undertake tasks assigned by the supervisor.   
  • Ensure staff spontaneously engaging on occupational health safety, fire safety of Aarong establishments where budget allocations are limited/less prioritized.
  • Ensure all safety related equipment to up keep and error free in many BRAC-Aarong establishments.
  • Engage and making large number of field staff aware about occupational health safety.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
