• Production Planning & Line Setup
• Coordinate with Central Planning (CP) to receive and implement the line plan, ensuring effective execution and adherence to production schedules.
• Prepare the Operation Bulletin (OB) and calculate Standard Allowed Minute (SAM) for each style using GSD (General Sewing Data) standards.
• Plan and establish machine layout, workstation layout, and line setup to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
• Allocate and balance manpower across operations based on skill levels and production requirements.
• Productivity & Efficiency Improvement
• Monitor and analyze daily manpower balance, target setting, and achievement vs. actual performance.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and innovative techniques to boost productivity and quality.
• Reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT) by recording lost time, conducting problem studies, and driving corrective actions.
• Control extra OT through efficient line balancing and target-driven operation.
• Process Optimization & IE Tools Application
• Conduct SMV validation using correct process breakdown and ensure updates in the GSD database.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 7S, Kanban, Kaizen, SMED, and others to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Create and implement QCO (Quick Changeover) plans, chassis identification, and paper layouts for each style.
• Pre-Production & Risk Mitigation
• Actively participate in risk analysis and pre-production (PP) meetings to identify and mitigate risks in new styles.
• Collaborate with the pre-production team to resolve challenges during the sampling stage and bulk production.
• Skill Assessment & Training
• Conduct skill evaluations for sewing operators and ironers as per company assessment procedures.
• Maintain and update the skill matrix, build operator skill inventory based on upcoming style demands, and provide on-the-job training to elevate team capabilities.
• Lead and coach team members to ensure a high-performance culture, aligning with business goals.
• Efficiency Monitoring & Reporting
• Ensure lines are balanced and run at or above planned efficiency through constant observation and real-time adjustments.
• Monitor Work in Progress (WIP), ensure smooth flow between operations, and minimize delays.
• Analyze quality and productivity-related data to identify areas of development and initiate continuous improvement efforts.
• Compliance & Communication
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, buyer compliance standards, and national labor laws.
• Facilitate functional reporting, goal setting, and regular performance evaluations (Monthly Touch Base).
• Foster a Kaizen culture within the sewing floor and ensure smooth communication with cross-functional teams for corrective actions.
