Responsibilities & Context

  • Design and optimize production layouts and processes to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop efficient layouts for equipment, materials, and workspaces using Industrial Engineering (IE) methods and tools.
  • Balance production lines to minimize Work-In-Process (WIP) and enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Evaluate and grade operators' performance, both for new and existing employees, to optimize productivity.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in production processes to meet performance standards and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for low production output and track lost time while clarifying standard operational breakdowns to the production team.
  • Provide training with structured and easy-to-understand methods to enhance workforce skills and conduct skill tests for operators.
  • Generate and maintain regular reports on efficiency, capacity studies, Non-Productive Time (NPT), Non-Productive Operators’ Time (NPOT), floor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other relevant IE metrics.
  • Monitor worker performance, conduct operator skill tests, and prepare skill matrices.
  • Oversee hourly production targets, track individual and team productivity, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Record lost time (NPT), calculate efficiency, analyze problems, and develop strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure accurate Defects per Hundred Units (DHU) and Non-Productive Time (NPT) calculations to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
