  • Graduation from any reputed University

Additional Requirements


Extensive Experience in Garment Production:
  • Strong experience in Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, and Garment Production Quality (GPQ).
  • Proven ability to handle a minimum of 5 sewing lines (approximately 150 machines) with high efficiency and precision.
Experience with High-Profile Buyers:
  • Experience managing production for reputed buyers such as M&S, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, G-Star, S.Oliver, Express, and other renowned brands.
Knowledge of Wash Processes:
  • General understanding of various wash processes, including overdyed and tie-dyed products.
Familiarity with Embellishment Standards:
  • Familiar with printing, embroidery, and other embellishment standards and processes to ensure quality in the final product.
Language Proficiency:
  • Average command of English, with the ability to read, write, and understand the language effectively in a professional manner for communication and documentation purposes.

Responsibilities & Context

In-line Inspections:

  • Perform regular in-line inspections during the sewing process to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Conduct end-of-line checks to ensure finished garments meet the specified quality requirements.
Quality Verification:
  • Verify that sewing quality aligns with approved samples and buyer specifications.
  • Identify common sewing defects such as puckering, skipped stitches, seam slippage, and incorrect stitch density. Record and categorize defects for analysis.
Reporting and Corrective Actions:
  • Report quality issues to the Sewing Quality Manager or relevant departments for immediate corrective action.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of defects and propose corrective measures.
  • Provide immediate feedback to operators regarding identified quality issues.
Standard Compliance:
  • Ensure that sewing processes adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and meet buyer specifications and contractual obligations.
Collaboration and Training:
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure smooth workflows and maintain quality standards.
  • Guide and train sewing operators/QIs on quality standards and techniques to improve sewing quality.
Audit Support:
  • Assist senior quality personnel during internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document inspection results, defect rates, and corrective actions for tracking and review.
  • Prepare daily or periodic reports on sewing line quality for management review.
Process Improvement:
  • Suggest and implement improvements in sewing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on new sewing technologies and techniques to improve product quality.
Workplace Safety and Sustainability:
  • Verify that sewing operations comply with workplace safety standards.
  • Promote sustainability and ethical practices in sewing operations to ensure environmental and social responsibility.
