• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions.

• Prior experience in the Footwear, Leather, Tannery, Garments, or Manufacturing industry will be highly preferred.

• Candidates with hands-on experience in footwear raw materials and components will be given preference.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and result-driven Procurement Officer to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, components, accessories, packaging materials, and other operational requirements for the factory. The selected candidate will ensure the timely availability of materials by maintaining the right balance of quality, quantity, price, and delivery time, ensuring uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process purchase requisitions from Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other relevant departments.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify, source, and develop reliable local suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Collect supplier quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for management review and approval.
• Negotiate prices, product quality, payment terms, credit facilities, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Procure various footwear manufacturing materials, including leather, synthetic materials, PU/PVC, mesh, textiles, EVA, TPR, rubber, soles, insoles, adhesives, chemicals, accessories, and packaging materials.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse, Commercial, and Accounts departments to ensure smooth and timely procurement.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered according to production schedules and requirements.
• Monitor market trends and material prices to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
• Assess supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery reliability, and service standards.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet approved specifications and required quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality and IQC teams regarding material inspections, rejections, claims, and replacement issues.
• Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotations, Purchase Orders, deliveries, and other procurement-related documents.
• Track pending Purchase Orders and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports.
• Liaise with the Accounts department regarding supplier invoices, payments, advances, and payment adjustments.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
• Support inventory planning to prevent material shortages, production disruptions, and unnecessary overstocking.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier development, and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Perform any other procurement-related responsibilities assigned by management.
