• Understand and support the delivery of the Quality strategy to meet customer promises.
• Leverage strong technical expertise to deliver products that are safe, legal, and fit for purpose.
• Apply quality standards and assess product testing from a commercial perspective.
• Ensure all products meet the relevant quality requirements.
• Collaborate with MR/QA teams to interpret and act on customer feedback regarding quality issues.
• Conduct quality benchmarking of products and key competitors, assessing fit, quality, and performance.
• Adhere to “Best Practice” standards in the sample-to-production flow.
• Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure Quality Standards align with industry expectations (Value/Volume retail).
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues with fit, fabric, or component quality.
• Participate in the key line program to achieve quality standards while maintaining cost efficiencies.
• Resolve quality issues promptly with clear solutions and communication to all relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate risks and provide commercial recommendations on quality priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Monitor Returns Reports to identify products with high return rates, collaborating with the supply base to address and improve future deliveries.
• Identify high-risk production units/products for pre-shipment and third-party inspections.
• Through reporting (portal testing, pre-shipment inspections, returns, and CLAIM reports), identify quality issues within the supply base and collaborate with product operations teams and Quality Business Partners to implement solutions.
• Partner with product operations teams in factory meetings to drive the quality agenda.
• Keep the supply base regularly updated on quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Promote and represent the Quality function through timely, effective communication, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support product operations teams to improve the sampling success rate through training and engagement.
• Provide internal and external departmental updates and presentations.
• Demonstrate the ability to influence buyers' decisions regarding quality standards.
• Coach others to recognize their strengths, development areas, and align them with challenging development activities while maintaining motivation.
• Conduct regular open discussions with direct reports about performance expectations and assist in creating formal development plans.
• Facilitate team decision-making, ensuring consistency and fairness when collaborating with others.
• Actively seek out development opportunities to support growth and improvement.
• Contribute to the development of quality teams and support their continuous learning.
• Provide coaching and upskilling to product operations teams as needed.
• Offer training in best practices for sample approval to QA teams.
