  • Experience:

    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the WASH sector with a reputable national or international NGO, or within the development sector.
    • Proven track record in program/project planning and implementation.
    • Demonstrated expertise in partner management, gender equity, social inclusion, and GBV prevention.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and writing skills in both Bangla and English.
    • Strong monitoring and reporting skills.
    • Experience working with various stakeholders and partners.
    • Experience with safety net programs or health/social protection schemes is an added advantage.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software applications.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
    • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Programme Management & Support:

    • Ensure quality delivery by NGOs and develop transparent, community-based planning including marginalized groups.
    • Manage systems like mWater and WAPs while monitoring program budgets and implementation.
    • Provide administrative support for program plans, budgets, and partner guidance.

  • Hygiene Promotion & Software Activities:

    • Conduct community hygiene assessments and implement campaigns, training, and interventions.
    • Promote sanitation worker engagement and monitor program impacts via tracking mechanisms.
    • Design and facilitate training modules tailored to community needs.

  • Gender-Sensitive WASH Activities:

    • Integrate gender-sensitive approaches to WASH projects, addressing barriers for women and marginalized groups.
    • Promote gender equality through training, advocacy, and community involvement in decision-making.
    • Monitor gender-specific impacts and collaborate with stakeholders to improve inclusivity.

  • Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Advocate for equitable and safe WASH access in marginalized settings.
    • Foster partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and community organizations.
    • Represent the organization in forums focused on WASH and gender equity, and organize stakeholder workshops.

  • Knowledge Management & Reporting:

    • Develop knowledge products, awareness materials, and detailed reports for stakeholders and donors.
    • Coordinate reporting on hygiene and gender activities, aligning with broader health and development goals.
