Educational Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates holding a postgraduate degree will be given preference.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of three years of proven experience in the field of Climate Change is essential. However, this requirement may be waived for candidates with outstanding qualifications or exceptional expertise.

WaterAid Bangladesh’s Climate Resilience Programme focuses on enhancing access to clean water and sanitation services, while also promoting safe hygiene practices among marginalized communities in climate-vulnerable regions of Bangladesh. The initiative also extends to improving WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services in local schools and healthcare facilities. The programme engages with local government institutions, youth groups, utility providers, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to drive change. The team is led by the Programme Lead for Climate Resilience.
The Programme Officer – Climate Resilience Programme is responsible for supporting sustainable WASH solutions for communities affected by climate change. This role contributes to achieving the goals of the programme, department, and the broader objectives of WaterAid Bangladesh.
Actively contribute to meeting programme goals and enhancing project monitoring and implementation processes
Lead and maintain knowledge management and reporting systems for the programme and its projects
Develop and revise modules and materials to support programme activities
Assist partner NGOs with planning and budgeting; track implementation progress and provide technical guidance to ensure quality delivery
Lead social mobilization efforts, content creation, and organize/facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for partners and stakeholders
Help promote project initiatives aligned with both national and global climate action movements
Support local-level climate advocacy efforts with partner NGOs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and offering appropriate guidance
