  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in coordinating similar projects, preferably within national or international NGOs or development agencies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating field-based development or humanitarian projects.

Technical Skills
  • Photography skills for capturing field-level evidence and documenting project activities.

  • Strong command of both written and spoken English and Bangla, with the ability to produce professional reports, field visit summaries, event documentation, case studies, press releases, and digital content.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and make timely decisions in a dynamic working environment.

Job Summary
PROTTYASHI, a social development organization actively engaged in addressing the Rohingya Crisis in Cox’s Bazar since its onset, is set to implement a new initiative in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The project, titled “Improving Skills and Economic Opportunities for the Bangladeshi Community and Rohingya Women & Youths in Cox’s Bazar,” is now seeking applications for the role of Project Coordinator (PC).

Reporting Structure
The Project Coordinator will report to the Program Manager (Livelihood & Social Cohesion) at PROTTYASHI. This role requires ongoing collaboration with fellow project staff, cross-functional teams, and both programmatic and operational units within the organization. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential to maintain effective relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Implementation
  • Lead the overall execution of project activities within host communities, acting as the primary point of contact for local authorities, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Direct the livelihood-focused initiatives in alignment with the Livelihood and Skill Development Sector (LSDS) guidelines to ensure effectiveness and quality delivery.

  • Coordinate closely with both the program and finance teams to maintain a collaborative and compliant approach to program and budget management.

  • Guide the development of project deliverables, including work planning, budgeting, staff mentoring, and activity monitoring.

  • Support the project team and stakeholders in articulating, sharing, and pursuing the project's strategic goals.

  • Address implementation challenges proactively by identifying operational inefficiencies and developing innovative solutions.

  • Supervise all project personnel through consistent communication and regular on-site visits to maintain performance and accountability.

  • Monitor implementation progress to ensure adherence to work plans and timelines.

  • Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries in the field when complex issues arise.

  • Oversee the establishment and management of beneficiary product display points or retail outlets.

  • Promote beneficiary products via coordination with e-commerce platforms and other promotional channels.

Stakeholder Coordination
  • Maintain strong communication with IOM and PROTTYASHI’s head office to facilitate effective project delivery.

  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including the RRRC office, Camp-in-Charge (CiCs), LSDS, and other key entities involved in the project.

  • Support external communications and publicity to highlight project activities and impact.

  • Work closely with internal departments such as MEAL, procurement, finance, HR, and knowledge management to ensure seamless operations.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Compile and submit regular project progress reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) in collaboration with project staff.

  • Assist the Project Officer (Finance) in preparing quarterly financial reports.

  • Document all project activities, learnings, and outcomes for submission to PROTTYASHI management.

  • Engage with local and national media to highlight project achievements and design content for public outreach and awareness campaigns.

  • Collect and forward visual documentation (photographs) of project activities to PROTTYASHI’s central monitoring team.
